Susan Chung
Susan Chung is an acclaimed Sports Dietitian in Hong Kong. She graduated at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and later attained Master of Health Science from the Deakin University. After starting clinical dietetics practice in Hong Kong, Susan noticed certain characteristics in food cannot be explained with western nutritional science and saw the opportunity of complementing nutrition and Chinese medicine. After completing the Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the HKU SPACE and obtaining registration as Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong in 2003, she continued to pursue PhD degree at the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and completed in 2012.
Susan has strong academic background in nutrition and Chinese Medicine and over 20 years of practical experience in various areas of nutrition. She has been working with elite athletes in various sports in the Hong Kong Sports Institute from 1995 to 2014.
Susan is a pioneer practitioner in HK with registration and qualification in nutrition and Chinese Medicine. She is the author of 25 locally published nutrition books such as fitness, weight control, diabetes, vegetarianism, heart health etc. In addition, she is a part time/ guest lecturer in various nutrition and Chinese Medicine programmes in CUHK, Chinese University School of Continuing Studies, HKU SPACE, HK Baptist University and HK Institute of Education.
Being a sports enthusiast, she had completed a few Olympic distance triathlons, aquathons, half and full marathons. She loves sports and enjoys playing golf and tennis.
